Frequently Asked Questions
Why Choose Northwestern Christian University?
Before answering this question, we would first like to give you the key to your success in attending any Christian University. You should only attend your chosen Christian University after prayerful consideration and having received peace from the Lord in regards to your decision. The peace of God will be your confirmation that this, or any other Christian University, is the one that you should attend.
If you attend the seminary or university that God would have you attend, you will be prepared and equipped in accord with His divine will—beyond the capabilities of the preparation you would receive at any secular school. Through such a Holy Spirit-guided decision, you will be aligned with God’s perfect will and purpose for your life and future service unto the Lord.
Northwestern is one of many good Christian Universities to choose from. However, NCU has three major values that make our educational programs appealing to many:
- Saves Time – Research-based accelerated degrees by thesis or dissertation save you considerable time and money.
- Affordability – FREE enrollment and a very reasonable minimum donation, payable at graduation, benefit those who are financially challenged. This allows the masses to have an opportunity to earn a degree wherein normally such could not be afforded. This greatly enhances your opportunity to succeed in life!
- Convenience – At NCU you can study at home and set your own schedule. Programs are 100% accessible online. You may even handwrite your thesis or dissertation, then later enter it on any computer and save it as a PDF or Word document for sending to NCU.
All GUIDES for thesis/dissertation and Prior Learning Assessment are on the website menu. For those who do not own a computer, you can complete your degree program through any internet café by saving your work to a zip drive.
Is Northwestern Christian University accredited?
Northwestern Christian University is recognized as educationally accountable by the International Association for Christian Educational Accountability (IACEA).
Due to the principle of separation of Church and state (Mark 12:17; James 4:4; II Corinthians 6:14), the IACEA has chosen not to seek secular-based, non-Biblical regional accreditation or endorsement by the USDOE, EAES, or COPA.
IACEA is a closed membership organization recognized as a respected network of international schools on the cutting edge of the Cause of Christ.
NCU has opted not to be regionally accredited. This means:
- Northwestern is not eligible for student loans, grants, or GI Bill.
- NCU degrees cannot be used to defer payments on student loans from regionally accredited schools.
More information can be found at the IACEA website: www.TIACEA.org
