Online Ministry Degrees

All accelerated degrees and Full Curriculum degree programs are fully authorized by Northwestern Christian University, United States.

The NCU Bachelor degree program is a 120 cr. hr. Program. However, students may participate in PLA / Prior Learning Assessment and Core Courses along with a Bachelor’s thesis which can fulfill credit requirements if documented by transcripts and legitimate certifications etc. 120 cr. hrs. must be satisfied to earn the NCU Bachelor degree.

  • NCU degrees and official transcripts are imprinted with the official Northwestern Christian University watermark, logo or gold seal of authenticity.
  • Research based accelerated degrees by thesis and dissertation only are available through Northwestern Christian University.

Online Open Enrollment

  • Full Curriculum degrees involve Core Courses, thesis or dissertation.
  • There is no semester system to confine or limit you.

Academic Model

  • All NCU accelerated online ministry degree programs follow the historic European model of earning degrees by thesis or dissertation only
  • NCU Accelerated Programs are research-based by thesis or dissertation only. *Bachelor degrees still do require PLA, Core Curriculum and Thesis
  • NCU Full Curriculum degrees require a Core Curriculum as well as a thesis or dissertation.
  • PLA/ Prior Learning Assessment is mandatory for all Bachelor degree programs. *This proves competecy through documented experience.
  • PLA is optional (for extra credit only) for Master’s and Doctoral programs.

NCU Core Curriculum Available

Special! New Core Courses Added for bachelor students, with inadequate educational and life experience, unable to fulfill PLA criteria.

  • Accelerated Bachelor degree Core Courses are offered to enhance knowledge in certain majors for those lacking PLA experience.
  • Special Accelerated Bachelor Degree core courses are by essay only.
  • Full Curriculum students complete indepth Core Courses.

  • Bachelor Degree: 90 credit hours PLA and Core Curriculum + 30 credit hours Thesis = 120 credits
  • Master’s Degree:
    • 30 credit hours Thesis only, or
    • 30 credit hours optional PLA + 30 credit hours Thesis = 60 credits
  • Doctorate Degree:
    • 30 credit hours Dissertation only, or
    • 30 credit hours optional PLA + 30 credit hours Dissertation = 60 credits
  • Full Curriculum Degrees: 50 cr. hrs. Core Courses 30 cr. hrs. PLA and 30 cr. hrs. thesis or dissertation = 110 credits
